Trauma care for Christians_edited.jpg
Christian Therapist

I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Redlands and a Master of Arts from Loyola Marymount University. To specialize my practice, I pursued further studies at the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation and earned certification as a Clinical Traumatologist through the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology. I am also an Expert Level Life Coach and Level Two EMDR trained.

With over 30 years of experience, I have served in psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, non-profits, and private practice. Beyond clinical work, I spent over a decade as a state-level contract lobbyist and served on a Governor’s Advisory Committee, advocating for emotional health issues I witnessed first-hand in my practice. My leadership roles include sitting on boards of The Lookout Pastoral Retreat, Basecamp Missions, and the Advisory Board for the Dance Arts League of Atlantic County, where I helped develop programs for survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.

I was a visiting Professor of Practice at Hope College and have taught internationally in Romania, Puerto Rico, Tanzania, Spain, and Ireland. I deploy to global crisis situations through the Green Cross Academy and supervise students from Divine Mercy University during international intensives. As a bi-vocational missionary, I serve as a mental health advisor for Communitas International’s Staff Care & Development Team, supporting over 200 missionaries worldwide. I also maintain an online practice.
